Can anyone share some insights from WeWork PM interview? Also, I appreciate knowing the salary expectations. YOE: 12 TC: $265
WeWork mistakenly thinks they are a tech company. They are a real estate holding company. Why would you want to be a PM there?
Thank you for the comments. Good opinions, but I see it differently. They do not own any of the real estate, the take a long term lease, convert to short term, enjoying the spread between. Think of it as AWS for companies real estate needs - you pay for what you need and can quickly can scale up and down. As for tech, enabling businesses to scale real estate needs poses very interesting tech problems and opportunities for new products. Also, I love their experimentations with WeLive (residential spaces) and WeGrow (early education for kids).
