Weekend jobs for socialization?

Thinking about picking up a weekend job or something of the sort to get out and socialize and meet some new people. Not really interested in gig work, maybe something with some equity benefits?

Only thing that comes to mind currently is a barista at Starbucks or something.

Thoughts?

  • Working at Starbucks will make you never want to talk to people again. Go volunteer or something, meet some hot divorced mom's that think volunteering will magically fill all the holes in their hearts.

    I've been thinking about picking up a trainer certification and teaching a fitness class. My friend recommends working at Trader Joe's. Another friend bartends craft cocktails. There's a lot of fun side jobs out there.

      Bad work times (at night). Did this as a student, great for socializing, but your sleep cycle gets fucked up if you work until early morning (yeah there is cleaning up after work and going home)

    I have always liked the people who work at trader Joe's

    I want to do something non tech. Never did any part-time job so a barista, waitress, trader Joe's, they all fascinate me.

    It's been ages since I worked at Starbucks but fwiw I always felt it'd be a great job of it were just like 2 6-hour shifts a week

      Yeah, was just thinking an 8hr on Sunday then pick up shifts if I have the time. Just go in, do my work, socialize, and gtfo.

    Hmmm I like this train of thought. maybe I could get a job at that cute little espresso place down the street.
