Who uses 89 octane fuel? I don't see anyone use it. Wtf is it used for? Do you use it?
I thought it’s specifically sold to fill up the tank in the end of your car rental.
Lmao that’s so fucked
Using higher octane fuels in your car if it's not required is literally just burning money
There are a few cars that do. I remember the first generation F30 BMW 328 with the N20 used it although the engine adapted to get better mpg with premium. There was some scandal around this because they were reporting 36mpg on that car but that was with premium and they weren’t allowed to report an mpg that wasn’t from the recommended gasoline grade.
There are cars that require that and when 91/93 runs out 89 serves as a backup.
Higher octane = higher compression ratio required
