What are some of the best tech companies to work for as a software engineer in Austin?
I live and work in the Bay area. And I have been toying with idea of GTFO of here.

Prices are increasing People are rude Bro culture is real Ageism is real No one gives a crap about you And eventually, your power, relevance, and value will be challenged into extinction! I get it. But is that really true? No, it’s not. What is true, is that if you stay, you nurture a generation of Leeters. You become more relevant. And you invoke your once in a life time opportunity to influence tech and the world. You build something amazing. You persevere. You can only have an impact if you fight for it. Logically, mathematically, with things such as regression to the mean on your side, you will eventually FIRE or FIRL. So, why GTFO? That’s plain stupid. Now, let’s look at your other option. You go to Austin, and like everyone else, you think, this place is cheaper. Over time, you see human shit on the concrete, needles everywhere, prices going up, traffic sucking, brohams everywhere, and before you know it, the exact thing you were running away from, ends up become the exact place you now live in. What happened? You ran away from yourself. Only to find that yourself, will never go away. And others like you, recreated the same comforts they had in the valley, leaving Austin to become a desolate shit filled waste land, dichotomy of patriarchal shit fucks and jerks, ruining the economy there, and desecrating the sacred place you were hoping would solve your current emotional problems. So, I implore you, stay here. Evolve. Grow grapes. Make wine. Teach. Write books. Create workshops. Build something great. Don’t fall for the trap; and FIRE or FIRL while you still can. ❤️

Maybe hear their reason before giving the half time speech. Maybe it's personal. Who said you have to be packed in like a chicken farm to make an impact. Let's spread out tech to everywhere. It's better socially and economically.
