What are the best places to work in Dallas for AWS Solutions Architecture, Development, or DevOps?

I'm considering a family move to Dallas and wondering what kinds of TC numbers and opportunities are best out there. I have solid AWS, dev, IaC, and consulting experience. I also have the AWS DevOps Pro cert and SA Associate. I don't currently travel much aside from things like re:Invent and Kubecon, but I'm open to 25% or so.... YOE: 15 tech (dev & mgmt), 4 in Cloud "DevOps" TC: 150k

AWS has an office there. You can look into Solution Architect positions with them.

I believe my SA team is looking for a Texas-based addition. We're pretty much remote anyway, most locations with good internet and airports are fine. OP, PM me and I'll send you the posting.

Remote Consulting Services and Cloud Architect roles are open in DFW.

State Farm has a few openings for experienced folks. Won’t pay as much as AWS though.

Are those decent roles or groups? I'd wondered if those were all pro serve or support type roles. I'm guessing I can meet some people from the Dallas office at re:Invent if I try. The one time i applied in the past for an AWS SA role it wasn't based in Dallas, and the interviewer for the group I spoke with scared me off saying his boss was a liar and I'd really be traveling 80% like he was even though his boss said it'd be 30%.

Take my advice with a grain of salt. I am a nontech dude grinding and studying and earning certs to become an SA or Cloud Consultant down the road so I am inclined to say yes they're decent roles. The consulting leaders and SA leaders L6s/L7s and L8 I have worked with were great. BUT I do know a lot of ProServ leave for SA because they arent being hounded about billable hours. My buddies in SA roles do travel but it's more regional than continental/international. I enjoy traveling so not sure. Last 2 years I've traveled around 50% and really enjoy it. The interviewer sounds frustrated so that could be a flag or someone disgruntled.

Just curious. Anyone know the TC part of that question? Based on yoe, I'm guessing this would be L6 or L7.
