Any hopes of it coming up with av revolutionary product with the enormous funding rounds it has secured?
The technology won't be revolutionary. I can't tell you that. Well, they are bringing back some old technologies - but not where you'd expect. Rumor has it that they are bringing back VLIW. After itanium, I thought those were surely dead.
What’s VLIE?
They would surely need GPUs to render. Sure GPUs too can be VLIW but it would heavily depend on compiler.
In a systems on a chip, cpus are the central logic unit. GPUs can give data- level parallelism and DSPs can decode analog inputs. They all serve different purposes
Bringing back Vaporware
they have over 60 patents. Check them out at USPTO web site. they also secured wireless deal with AT&T. they have to have something going on.
Don't know about parents, but deals with third party companies and funding from famed investors are no sign of genuinely. (See also "Theranos").
