Jesus not this kind of thread that subtly discourages women from pursuing a meaningful career again.
Hey I stopped scooping like a year back. Why are you still calling me commute hero of the month? Can you fix that SQL query. I think DATEDIFF is the right function.
I no longer works at Scoop lmao
Good. They have experiences to share, and generally more fulfilled and they're with you because they want to, not because you support them.
Who wants to be with someone who wants you to do all the work ( akahousewife)? And if you have kids, who doesn't want to share that responsibility with your spouse (aka stay at home mom)... I'd rather have someone who, if they don't want to work, contributes to FIRE, or someone who is happy to work and parent alongside me. Tl;Dr get out of here with your gender norms
What?

I am a woman so I don't know what to think. Will you, the big man, tell me what to think in this situation please?
🔥🔥
It is a legit question Why don't you start a thread about women marrying househusbands? I would not be offended by that question
I don’t really have a preference. If she wants to focus on her career, I will support her 100 percent. If she wants to stay at home, I will support her too.
There should be more people like you in the world (both men and women). Good to hear this opinion :)
Exactly type of woman I’m looking for.
Smart, ambitious and hard working is sexy
Agreed. Power couple life is the dream. Unironically tho if one of us drops below 100k TC he should stay with the kids.
Seems like the duties a housewife does - cooking, cleaning, taking care of kids - can be replaced with hired help with that sexy combined TC.
Female here with a genuine question. Wouldn’t you get bored having a non-career oriented partner?
If so they're a boring person There's more to people than their career.
I agree that career isn’t everything. I didn’t do a good job wording that. I moreso mean, non-ambitious (which I don’t necessarily mean in the traditional career sense). However, I don’t want kids, so I forgot that was a thing that could heavily influence someone’s selection of a partner for.
Good. More combined TC.
