What focus should I set on my master studies?

I got a broad interest, e.g. Functional Programming, Linear Algebra (don't have much talent for Math, but I like logic and admire people who are good at it). My strong suit is probably creativity/visual. I work as a frontend developer and enjoy the immediate feedback that I receive.

I think working as a software architect (designing large and scalable systems) sounds exciting. Therefore I want to become a sw architect or someone with in depth technological knowledge, e.g. tech lead, lead developer, one day.

What focus should I set on my master studies that is aligned with my interest and goal?

DV alone wont help. Data Engineering skills are fundamental (if not ML).

Get a job as SWE first. Rest can be discussed later.

Why not now? If I set my tracks early I can reach my gaols faster.

You get YOE and learn what you don't know by being on the job. Then you can continue to pursue a masters while working which is faster than segregating your education and your work.

Linear algebra is the only item in your list that can’t be learned on your own

Why do you want to do a masters? Seems like you're all over the place thought wise.

Gain technical know how. I could learn on the job. I don't know what I don't know. I want to base my knowledge on a stable fundament. I think it will be beneficial if I become a software architect
