I got a better offer from another company. Can I ask for more money after signing the employment contract? Can I apply to Amazon in the future?
You will probably be burning a bridge which is never good.
Just tell Amazon your situation. Report back what they say.
Just begin with âI wanted your advice on how to handle this situation....â
Not a good idea to start with bad grammar
You will leave a record that you renege an offer. You will piss the recruiter off because their KPI will decrement.
Tell them your situation. If it's all about money, ask them what they can do. If they can't do anything, weigh your options but you shouldn't force yourself to work for a place if you can work for another place which you consider better. From companies prespective, imo, it's in their interest to have employees who WANT to work there rather than employees who feel forced to.
If you are ready to walk away, you have nothing to lose by asking what they can do to help with the situation you are in. If they cannot match and you walk away, any sensible manager or recruiter will understand.
Yep. And so what if get black listed by Amazon
Companies rescind offers when business conditions change. It is a financial decision for you as much as it is for amazon. It is a business relationship. Just keep it professional and explain it doesnât make business sense to you. Be ready to share the new competing offer to make your case. A sensible manager or recruiter will still look for win win.
Vivek Raj - probably not if you sign the contract. You can try, but that does leave a bad impression
