When it comes to MS employees interviewing for Amazon and Google, do they typically get a leg up on the rest of the resume stack? Specifically, PMs looking for Product Manager positions.
I think Microsoft’s PM bar is one of the lowest of big tech. Acceptance rate amongst my friends is def the highest for microsoft
You guys have a bad rep that’s for sure.
I can tell you as a dev neither I nor anyone I know has had any problem getting an interview at Amazon, Facebook or google. PMs, I would think it depends on specific experience. Many PM roles at ms dont match up very well with those at other companies.
Ok, the question is not about getting interviews. It is about your consideration for offer given that other candidate was neck to neck with you. You getting benefit because of Microsoft in your resume
FANG typically hire generalists. The neck and neck thing doesn’t matter. If you’re good enough to pass the interview, they’ll hire you no matter where you’re from.

MS is PM central: more PMs than you can shake a stick at. But you’ll probably get a recruiter to call if they have openings.
