I see that for over a year they have been doing massive lay-offs. Some are good, but they tend to eliminate positions and that means - in some cases - they keep bad peoole and let go of real leaders with potential. There are empty suits all over that place (ie: V.R. as an example)
I remember I applied for a summer internship there in 2016. I then got a rejection 5 months ago. π
Brutal
I'm am employment attorney. My office is in BNY Mellon center in Pittsburgh, of all places. We litigate a lot of cases involving layoffs and would be happy to give free consultations. PM me.
I work in tech and was just laid off from BNY Mellon today, after 22 years there. They are continuing to do reorgs in tech and my position was eliminated. They are focused on ramping up engineering jobs at the expense of everyone else. You also have to be a β10Xβ programmer to be hired. Good luck to those trying to get in.
F the banks. They are all dead zones for tech
