Climate change is here and billions of people will be affected. 97% of climate scientists believe that our climate is changing rapidly and its due to the actions of mankind. https://climate.nasa.gov/evidence/ What does the party in control of the executive branch and the Senate (formerly all branches of government for the past 2 years) plan to do to address the fact that if we do nothing, our planet will have catastrophic effects that will kill millions if not billions of people?
Funds from lobbyists are more real than climate change, and you canât outlobby Exxon
They are climate change deniers. Also, since many of them are more aged, they limit their level of care to their own lifespan, even if it may affect their children. "Won't affect me", so it doesn't matter. Their level of care literally only is what will affect them and them alone.
We need to do the needful to revert back the climate change
Go to streets and protest, do not ride Uber though. You will see how powerful human is, you might be stop earthquakes under your ass in the process.
Considering how the temperature has not increased by a whole degree in the past 70 years, nobody who is working class and not brainwashed cares about climate change.
Scientists have said that June 2019 was the hottest month ever recorded. Are they lying?
Hottest does not imply any disastrous event in the future. Yes the climate technically changes and it always will change. Tomorrowâs weather will be different than todayâs weather. Next yearâs weather will be slightly different than this yearâs weather. Itâs not like January 1stâs 2018 temperature has to match January 1stâs 2019 temperature perfectly every year for all of eternity. Sounds like you havenât read much on the opposing side.
Republicans will let other nations pursue climate change control. They will not have US be part of Paris climate agreement. This is because climate change takes into effect very slowly over time. By that time Trump would have easily served his second term and his fan-base would be thrilled that millions of dollars were saved trying to prevent something that is not even real. MAGA.
Considering the US impact on climate change, itâs not possible for the other countries to address it while the US continues business as usual.
Clearly youâre clueless @kavalan. Despite getting out of the scam that is the Paris Climate accords, the US leads the world in reduction of CO2 emissions.
Itâs too far away for them to care about. Thatâs why even Democrats who recognize it as a big issue (Green New Deal) have trouble getting mainstream traction. people who havenât studied it just think itâs overblown because they donât actually see anything that bad happening.
Or it could be because the green new deal sucked! People donât want to ban airplanes or farting cows.
If you think the effects of climate change are far away you're just not paying attention. Sea level rise and flooding are impacting communities all over the place and droughts are driving migration, including from e.g. central America .. guess where those people are going?
Their plan is to brainwash its base into thinking that it is not an issue
It is young generation s brainwashed by liftiest institutions thinking government solves all problems, climate change, earthquake, hurricanes, volcanos, etc. You smart ass things technology is solution for the future. Human can contol the nature. Looking you shit hole streets, and evergrowing homeless folks, asking what is more urgent and meaningful thing your party and GOP can do ..
Hundreds million years ago, the earth was ruled by dinosaurs. Due to climate changes and other events, they all disappeared. Then new species emerged, including some high intelligence ones such as human. When the next catastrophic event happens on the earth, all existing species will disappear, and the earth will get a reset. More intelligent species will emerge, they may have much better consciousness, more advanced technology, better humanity. Isn't it a beautiful thing?
Climate can change without human involvement? What evidence do you have?
There was a big asteroid that caused an eternal winter. Itâs a different kind of climate change, but AirBnB isnât wrong.
Technology is the only thing that will save us. US is responsible for a tiny portion of global carbon production (vs India/China) and we are never going to make the developing world care about something that matters far less to them in the near term than digging themselves out of poverty. The democratic position is, as many of their policies are, hopelessly idealistic. Good luck getting most of the world to care about something that is not immediately affecting them right now. Thatâs not pragmatic or how human nature works.
Per this article, the US is second highest, behind China. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_greenhouse_gas_emissions
Just China then I guess, not India. Although as a % of total the developing world in aggregate represents a huge (and growing) portion.

The republicans donât have a plan because they donât believe climate change is real.
But 97% of climate scientists believe its real. What do Republicans know that the rest of us doesn't know?
And 99.9% of percentages are made up on the spot and utter BS.
