What is the scope of MS in aerospace engineering

I have a bachelors in Mechanical engineering from India with 2 years of experience as a Quality engineer at Mahindra.

I am planning to pursue MS in aerospace engineering. As an international student on visa, I wanted to know what are the job prospects later on? I have heard majority of the jobs require security clearance or have to be a US citizen. True?

Thanks!

Zero, zilch, nada unless you have a green card in the US. It's highly protected technology

India space program is one of the best in the world if your main concern is making an impact. For a career in the US though, you'd be better off joining a software company if you don't have a green card. The whole aerospace industry is super protected and generally underpays compared to software engineering

Your friend might want to contact Boeing and ask about Boeing Research & Technology; they have facilities in India.

If he/she works on the commercial side, there are more opportunities.
