    Home - $3000 (gf subsidy $1000)
    Food - $1500
    Car - $800
    Toys - $1500
    Other - $1000
No kids, no real obligations. Used to spend less than $10k/year despite 6 figure income as a weird habit/belief so I kind of feel like a freshly rebelled religious fallout.

$800 on car and fuck student loans? The loan that helped you get that car?

@IT I'm not saying my education was useless. I just don't like paying this much for it. I have plenty of friends who went to non-payment Target schools and are earning either at my TC or higher.

Well too late to repent now.
Pay it off first and then buy costly cars maybe? So you pay it off early and cry for lesser time?

I need a car to commute to work. I was extremely frugal in college and I wanted to reward myself for completing it and getting a good job.

I'm not crying. I live a very comfortable life for my age. I'm just upset because a lot of my other friends had their Bay Area parents pay off their entire undergrad tuition and they save more since they live with their parents in the Bay. But no one said life is fair.

If that’s post-tax, then that’s not the worst. Hope you’re slapping some Benjamins on that 401k.

Less than 1k per month, Tokyo.

Company provides train pass; I own my apartment; ~$60 per quarter in property tax and 150 per month in maintenance. No kids, unfortunately. Work all day and come home to a loving partner, no expensive habits.

I'm lucky to have this situation because my TC is far lower than most of you at 45k.
