I get hit up a lot by agency recruiters offering 40k or less than what I currently make it. What gives? Do they just cast a wide net, and hope for the best?
Lol they sound like bad recruiters.. any recruiter presenting salary upfront like that don’t have the clout to negotiate for you to get the tc you want. One caveat might be that you have a non traditional title on LinkedIn or something that has you pegged at a lower comp tier.
Depends on the area maybe. In some places agency employees make more than their non-agency counterparts and getting a job through a recruiter is just the way to go.
