Planning to go for an MBA and need some insights on what my target industry should be and if it would be worth it.
Any role, no one cares about an MBA though so the same roles you'd apply for without it.
Which college?
You can try your hands in Management consulting like McKinsey, BCG or Bain. Then jump to Tech as a PM.
MBA is useless
if not from a "Top 5" college.
Even then it's about connections

Interesting.. I'm currently an engineer and we hear the same jokes from MBA's on reverse
Tech hires MBAs for Product, Program, Finance, Marketing, and Corporate Strat roles. I know for Amazon MBAs come in as L6. They only recruit at top 10-15 schools though.
Go into finance, more money in it.
I'm in JP right now and I don't like the bank culture. Too much bureaucracy and blame games
