I think this depends a lot on your natural skill set. I truly love the work I do and it comes easily to me so I don't feel like I work that hard, but the reality is that I'm just very effective in that role. In other roles where I tried to force myself to do things I didn't enjoy or that didn't come as easily, it was way more work. This is a personal journey type question to find yourself the best role for you.

It’s not the company it’s you who sets the schedule and how you manage your time. Except for short term heroics no one can be productive after 6 hours of actual working per day - the rest is shit show.
