What should be asking salary for Goldman Sachs Engineering ?

Background - Ex IIT, then IVY (please don't judge, i know engineering masters sucks there), total 3 years full time work experience. Quoted - 145 Base + ~30-35k Relo + Bonus (not clarified) Is this good ? Or should I ask more ? As I am positive to get offers from some big techs and some hedge funds as well.

Is it really that bad ? The role is in trading tech , not back-office or compliance or retail

It is pretty bad. And the company has horrible work ethics. Which field did you get your IIT AND IVY degree ?

It's not ibd. Technology with trading , not retail or back-office complaince stuff.

It still seems low offer.

You’re way too modest ex-IITian. Just because you’re from some school doesn’t mean you’re better in the real world.

Well the question is about finding the market salary, whether better or not that's for the interviewer to judge 😁

Ok, my partner whose from a no name university in India and a state university in the US was offered 320K and VP level at GS with 1.5 years of experience.

Hedge funds win in general. You are rewarded more for loyalty. For GS, hustle or be always taken advantaged. If this is NY. This is a back office associate pay.

Should I ask more then ?

Reject and go to the hedge funds and big tech that you speak of.
