Considering moving to a different telecom company. Outside of Verizon and T-Mobile, any other choices? Just as an FYI I value WLB don't want to move to FAANG, but the politics at AT&T is a little crazy.

Your post is confusing...your title asks which tech teams at VZ are worth joining, but your post says “outside of VZ”...anyway...what do you do at ATT? Lots of good teams at VZ depending on your background
First tell me what your pathway is, and what you do. AT&T is way more IC friendly than VZ. VZ is way more management friendly than AT&T in terms of pay.
AT&T’s IC ladder goes: Senior MTS: 1B (1st level Mgr) Up to $120k base, 8% bonus Principal MTS: 2 (Senior Mgr / Assoc dir) up to $160k base, 12% bonus Lead MTS: 3 (Director) up to $210k base, 25% bonus Distinguished MTS (VP) up to $280k base, 40% bonus For management, special deferred compensation plans (RSU) begin at L5 or SVP, IC or tech may be able to get it at lower levels. —- Verizon’s SMTS, PMTS, DMTS, and Assoc Fellow all map to only an Assoc Director. Never seen a base on Glassdoor exceeding $150k. Bonus at this level is 20%. Verizon’s exec comp starts at Director, which is generous for managers but for IC’s you have to become a full fellow for director level. There are only 10 such employees in the whole company. Management enjoys bigger bonuses with Directors getting 40% annually vs AT&T’s 25%. Hope this helps.
Try Cox
Look at Viasat and see if anything fits.
Join T-Mobile, its great over here.
Come to Charter
now you know at VZW they laid off all the tech teams and have 1 person handling 1 region...No job security at VZW at least whenever they upgrade the network they always lay off...
Corporate consolidation has left no where else for u to go.
