If you are applying for a new job, the recruiter asks for your current level. What should I say? Is it okay to 1) Deny to answer 2) Provide a fictitious answer that is a reflection of your self-evaluation?
is this because youre scared of getting lowballed? or because you haven’t gotten the promos you deserve? I don’t see anything wrong with telling the truth about your level and your comp/level expectation.
Scared of getting lowballed.
I think you should express your expectation, so you can get interviewed at the level you’re looking for. If your experience is within reason, I don’t see why they’d turn you down.
