What to do with returning ISIS fighters

All western governments seem so preoccupied about re-integrating returning ISIS fighters to their original countries. I say why do we even bother; they are treasonous terrorists who have (or supported) gruesome mass murders of innocents all over the world. They should just be executed so we never have to worry about them joining the next pop up terror group. Amen

Canada’s only mad because the Brits revoked his citizenship first, so they don’t get a chance to.

Canadian newspapers seem to think it’s a retaliation from Canada’s decision not to apply the Canada-EU free trade treaty to UK. They want to negotiate a separate deal.

Why let them in at all? They should live in the glorious Islamic state they helped create. There are no redo's.

You don’t just execute foreign soldiers. Say Germans weren’t all executed after ww2. Treat them as traitors in a war, that’s the right way. Some traitors are executed, some are not. There are laws, apply them. There’s nothing special about this situation that wasn’t encountered before, no need to reinvent the wheel

Difference here is that they weren’t fighting on behalf of a real country. They joined a terror group and attempted to create a new country through terrorist means. None of these “soldiers” were actually sent to war by their country of citizenship. Germans in WW2 were drafted into the army and forced to fight on behalf of a fascist (but legitimately elected) government, which is why justice was administered on a case by case basis.

Blah blah. That was a defacto country, with all the elements of an actual country except unrecognized. Even if it’s not you still don’t execute people without due process. We’re not isis.

The traditional punishment for traitors was death by hanging Seems appropriate, true social justice if you will

If you’re really interested in what you’re missing; revoking citizenship is a slippery slope. No one is saying they shouldn’t be put in prison. But should a country who’s culture they are most closely tied be able to say you committed a crime and therefore are no longer a citizen? And if so what crimes should this be allowed for? Murder? Shoplifting? What legal process/trial should be followed? (So far it looks pretty political) And where should these people go? (In one case the UK made someone stateless saying she should be able to apply for another citizenship.)

If you serve in the armed forces of another country in opposition to the US, you are a traitor by definition and will have your citizenship revoked.
