Very naive question, but I have few onsite interviews and would like to know the suggestions regarding the attire. I am thinking more like a blouse and the skirt.
What to wear âtoâ*, and âtheâ skirt??
I am sure you will get hired easily. Donât worry
Tech companies? Wear whatever you are comfortable in. I noticed when I wear something that I know I look cute in and 100% comfy, Iâm more confident and do way better. And 100% comfortable shoes. If a skirt and a blouse make you feel confident, do it. If jeans and a blouse feel better, do that. Key things are to look fit in/belonging and not stand out like a sore thumb, comfy, cute.
This is the right answer, end of thread. Basically, you want to dress in such a way that they donât remember how you were dressed the next day. Other than that, within reasonable limits of whatâs suitable for an office environment, wear whatever you want.
Are you interviewing for a SWE role?
Nothing ;)
Donât wear a suit if youâre interviewing at a tech company. Or anything that even resembles a suit. I followed the âwear what you would to meet with clientsâ advice recently and almost got death-stared out of a startup
Dress, blouse and skirt, blouse and pants. Comfortable, clean shoes but if it's a heel it will help you stand up straighter. You can wear a blazer over a dress or blouse but it's not necessary.
Blouse and skirt might be overdressed at Amazon for instance, depends on the company. I agree with the poster that said wear what makes you feel the most confident, but within the context of the place at which you are interviewing. When in doubt you can always ask your recruiter for the usual dress code.
