...QA websites? Our office is looking to get a cheap (😢🤕) windows laptop for QA simple websites to make sure fonts, graphics, etc. renders properly. Lenovo Thinkpad T440 14” (😢) is what they are suggesting but I have such bad experience with these $350 laptops and we end up having to replace them every 8 months. What do you all think?
Which company do you work for? Can't they afford good laptop? Why do you need cheap one ?
Why not use virtual machine with appropriate configuration for testing
We do use Browserstack quite a bit but have noticed that there are inconsistent rendering issues when doing complex graphics and animations. We see some rendering issues that wouldn’t occur on the physical device. These errors have mostly occurred in IE 11, Edge, or weird mobile browsers. But I should say that we haven’t put much research into properly configuring virtual machines... Our management is cheep as fuck and won’t let us spend time on things that don’t directly pay! 😂😂😂😂 (I’m leaving the company soon, it’s very small so I don’t want to disclose the name)
