I’m interested in the relationship between IT (corporate IT) and other business units within FANG. Do you love them, are they partners? Hate them - they’re roadblocks? Tolerate them because you have to? Trolls aside, I see varying opinions about IT / Business partnerships and curious if it’s different in FANG? If you answer, please ID what role you play (SDE, sales, marketing etc) Thanks! TC: $420k
Universally hated, but personally I just tolerate them because I have to.
Love Google's TechStop IT. They're unbelievably awesome. SWE.
A few years back Facebook’s IT was frictionless and fast. Could get loaner devices on demand, devices to choose from were the latest and greatest. Connectivity options were lightweight and abundant (corporate wireless options for your home, etc). Not sure how it is perceived these days.
Nobody is here to learn useless, outdated information. What is the IT currently like.
I would let the OP be the judge of that. I was trying to be helpful and figured that slightly outdated information is better than no information at all. I was honest enough to state that this isn’t the most recent experience so that OP can accept it or reject it.
I like FB IT and also had high regard for spotify IT
Thanks for the feedback folks. Still a bit mixed even in this small sample.

I thought it's universally known across all companies that no one likes IT.
No one likes them, but no business would be conducted without them.
