Layoffs at Bonobos, selling ModCloth, bringing Jet in house... is this an intentional part of their E-commerce strategy?
The focus is on Walmart's own ecommerce site and walmarts in house brands. External brands are losing importance
They've used tons of money attempting to catch-up in ecommerce. The strategy failed. They should've bought Albertsons when they had the chance.
Sorry to threadjack, but any of you guys willing to give me a referral at Walmart. Serious request.
SWE? And what location?
Jet was always in house. All of the key early talent was absorbed in 2016. Marc lore, his directs and their directs. Nearly all of these people have departed now.
Lol Jeremy king dipped and got a hell of a payment!
Also, purchasing a bunch of e-commerce sites was a power move on Walmart’s behalf while still netting 26B Net profit YoY. They absorbed culture, talent, IT and digital excellence and replicate it across their organizations. The Bentonville Arkansas mindset kills them tho
Yes. It's called N-D CHESS. (N≥4)
