Curious too

I found it sort of like the opposite of a startup in some ways. They are really big on training and spend a lot of money on it, moreso than any other place I've worked.

Worked at Adobe for a long time in the past. Adobe is consistently rated as one of the best places to work. Attrition is one of the lowest in the industry. I know of many people who left Adobe to work at other places and went back to Adobe! Perks: May not compare to FANG but good WLB: Good Career Growth: This could be a bit slow

How is TC there? Also are they open to immigrants?

Worked at Adobe for 9 years, now I am at Apple. Adobe treats their employees really well. Limited career growth indeed but it’s the best place for working parents. I started to having regrets (going for career growth and bigger TC).

I’ve been at Adobe in San Jose almost 20 years as an engineer. I typically work 45 hours a week. It’s easy to work from home when I want. Most meetings are via video conference, even if it’s with people in the same building. No free food except crappy snacks. On site cafes are nice, but expensive. Drinks are free. The buildings are pretty, but we have been moving everyone to open spaces, which suck. I’ve had many managers, most of whom were nice, but I’ve had a few insane ones that I had to escape. Career growth is slow, so you need to manage it yourself by taking advantage of the free training they offer and applying for other positions within the company when you see the opportunity. I feel underpaid, but the ESPP combined with great stock price growth makes up for it.

Can you share your TC? When you joined and what it is now after 20 years. It will be good to understand the growth with in vs externally
