SunTrust is merging with BB&T and the post merger role I was assigned with sucks (solely focused on "synergies" - cost cutting and there's sxxt loads to trim but it's bad karma). I've been interviewing had a few offers but even though they paid more, they were even less attractive in terms of substance. So here I am seeking the wisdom of the masses for ideas or potential referrals... Me? Strategic finance experience in banking and large tech in the West Coast, management consultant prior to that.
Have you thought about Ellie Mae?
I am speaking with them for a Director, enablement strategy role. Thoughts?
First republic is hiring.
Run from ST and go anywhere...
Why?
Overall Corp culture and indecisiveness... If they continue to push back dates for marketing projects, it does not bode well for tht transition to Truist..
What do you want to do?
Be on the proactive side of finance/business partnering. Churning reports or supervising minions that churn reports is not how I wanted to spend my days.
