eBay Software developer Great culture, very less politics compared to Amazon and Microsoft (my previous companies), awesome team (smart and very helpful colleagues) with great projects.
Nokia
Microsoft
GoDaddy - SDE (been here 2yrs) - great manager - awesome and smart co-workers - opportunities to expand and grow in technical track - company-wide hackathons 2x/yr - yearly engineering wide tech conference (techFest) that takes place at a resort in AZ (yes, fully paid for) where you get to meet other teams and learn about new tech stacks - benefits, compensation, perks, etc... are great - work schedule flexibility, work/life balance - most importantly, no bro-grammers
Is the ration of female SDE higher than others?
I would say the ratio is similar to other tech companies.
Docusign- good pay, fun slightly alcoholic culture, simple product, growing, private. Never would do Microsoft again
zuora. never felt this empowered and supported at any other company. really good people too (positive can-do attitudes, sincere, allergic to BS, etc). not a perfect company by far but I feel valued.
I worked at zuora but left last year. Also think it was a great startup and solid choice as my first full time gig. Great, fun culture for sure but the pay was on the low side.
NASA. Mainframe systems group. Great co-workers, fascinating work, great training and opportunities. Suboptimal pay. But NASA!
You wont work for Pay in NASA .. but heard they are down these days
Cameron Intl. until the Schlumberger acquisition. now every manager has become a petty "yes man" or they're fired for questioning decisions. They've lost several engineers to the likes of GE with 20-30% pay raises, while Cameron engineers are still at their same pay from 2014 with no anticipated adjustment to SLBs equivalent.
Cam pay scale are already higher than Slb .
BlackBerry. They treat employees well unlike some of the other big companies
Blackberry's a big company? Even now?
It is
Apple Firmware Engineer
why?
Good overall pay, access to latest greatest devices, excellent work-life balance (I guess Iâm lucky to be on the right team/org) and very smart coworkers.
