You might have seen me post about these three before, if so thank you for reading. I realized didn’t ask the right question last time. I’m trying to crack the highest paying companies (“tier 1”) as a new grad and I have one more summer internship opportunity before the next hiring cycle. Which of these resumes looks better for getting tier 1 interviews? I can intern at MS, Apple this summer and I already have MS for one summer on the resume. Thanks guys and gals!
Get diversity in experiences while you intern. There are many Microsoft-lifers who have no clue what goes on out there in the industry.
No one cares. One or the other.
Apple. At the very least, you can have two offers - from Apple and Microsoft - and that’s great leverage for negotiating either offers
I only get one return offer. Companies only give return offers if you’ve most recently interned with them. I have to choose which company I get a return offer from and how it will impact my reputation/resume
@tarasenko Are you sure about that? I’m never heard of this policy.
Better to avoid Microsoft at your resume at all.
Lol wut?
Anything but Apple
U should be able to get an interview at google no matter where u intern. Facebook has been screening out a lot of new grad resumes recently tho, so u may not get an interview there no matter where u intern.
Yes this has been exactly my experience. To get intern or new grad you probably need an exceptional resume with awards and accolades or be part of some special initiative hiring group.
