Isn’t that a bit career limiting for the manager and the reports? Seems like it would be good to have more diversity other than diversity in provinces of China 😂
Same with Indians, though. Get a Telugu manager and six months later, your team is suddenly all Telugus.
Chinese managers are control freaks and are scared of hiring non Chinese candidates since they would out them. It’s really sad that it is generalized but unfortunately it is true for most Chinese managers. Of course, there are exceptions and I have worked with great Chinese managers. I bet many Chinese and non Chinese people will agree with this observation.
I believe is mostly this. They feel like they can only keep the hierarchy intact if they hire chinese.
I have Chinese manager. Looking to switch. Now. Just joined and it’s awful.
I had a Chinese American manager and he was really chill, the team was diverse too. Maybe it’s different for the people born and raised here.
Nepotism is rampant amongst Indians as well. I even heard Russians at Microsoft engaged in some Mafia-like activity and they were busted up. But yeah, it’s mostly Chinese and Indians.
Indians are the worst man. I find Chinese totally fine while Indians just have disgusting nepotism
I'm an Indian and I had two Chinese managers previously. Both of them were great. Currently, have an Indian manager and he sucks big time.
I’ve had some great Indian managers and one of the worst. One of my worst ones literally quit and never even bothered to tell me.
Indians apas mein hi lad ladke mar gye aur doosre raaj kaete rhe. Ek hokar kaam karna apni soch mein suru se hi na thi
Are you Indian? KumquatK?
Are you chinese koala?
I wish I were so I can become a manager 😂
