I’m reading articles about cities banning amazon go. What’s amazon’s plan? Pulling out or create a different/advanced model?
And a few cities banned Uber. There's always gonna be an idiot city council somewhere. Usually not a deal breaker for the business model.
Gone in 60 seconds 🚙 🚗
adding one check-out point with cash/coin collecting machines should bypass the requirement. But it’s really defeating the purpose of going to Amazon go if u still need to lineup there to pay.
Having a system capable to do that wouldn't mean necessarily having to use it right? If the ban is just on stores who don't accept cash, perhaps Go can start a cash acceptance machine like you suggested. However, due to convenience, people would default to fast(cashless) checkout and only those who want to pay in cash would have to face the probably longer wait time.
They can just use an honor system with cash. Put it in an envelope and drop it in a slot. If customers intentionally ripoff Amazon, they can be banned for life, or potentially prosecuted (everything is on video and need an Amazon account to enter store)
What is that? Never heard it.
Really 😀? Come out of your cave buddy and maybe search if you don't want to visit in person
Oh, tell me what should I say here if that helps you, look like I hurt you 🤪
Honestly I think Amazon Go is more of a publicity stunt and PR move for Amazon than a true money maker.
There’s another version of Amazon grocery coming out. Not Go or Whole Foods. That’s the the one that’s expected to be big.
What’s the name?
I don’t know the details as I think it’s all under a code name.
Wait in line to get into a store with no lines! Genius
You still need employees to stock the shelves and respond to any shopper questions etc..

Those cities are banning stores that don’t accept cash. Pretty basic problem, I’m sure they have a solution.
Put a donation box outside the store claiming they accept cash :p
Cities generally don’t like cash operations because then business can figure out how not to report it.
