Given the news of IBM’s age discrimination, what’s the oldest person you could comfortably hire with 10 year’s experience?
Depends 10 years exp is different than 1 yr 10x.
I hired someone with 30 yr exp in their sixties
This poll revealed less bias than I had thought there would be overall. However with nearly 1 in 4 participants saying they wouldn’t hire anyone over 40, the bias displayed is more pernicious than I thought it would be.

Does msft really pay this low?

“Truly does decline beyond a certain point.” <— This is what ageism sounds like, folks.
Unless you are talking about dementia or chronic fatigue in old age, I call bullshit. People in their 60s and 70s who are still working can be very cognitively sharp. If you would presume or imagine otherwise because of their age, then you’re an ageist.
