What's the work balance life like for product managers at Facebook? Is it hellish? Is the work rewarding? Has the time to come to Facebook gone?
PM at Facebook is not a 9-5 job. I leave at 5pm but will have to get back on my laptop after kids go to bed for another 2-3 hours. You’ll probably have to put in a few hours on the weekend if you want to start feeling ahead of curve
Not at FB, but PM roles in general are assessed by successful and worthwhile launches AND landings. This is not dependent on input, but the very nature of PM in big Tech or start ups requires making sure everything is executed according to the right vision that drives the right success metrics. To make sure that happens, this typically takes a lot of time. Some PMs manage this better than others, but few work less than 40 hours a week.

I heard that in marketplace everyone does 80 hr weeks
Urban legends. Nobody is working 13-14 hour days. You would burn out after a couple weeks. This is just too silly.
I worked 13 hour days when I was in Amazon and my manager worked 70-90 hr weeks. No joke
