Work days and weekends, morning, afternoon, and night, I've never had a DoorDash delivery arrive less than an hour later than the promised delivery window (usually at least two hours late). Definitely not the restaurants' fault - food is always ready 10 min after ordering and ice cold when it arrives. Folks who've worked at DoorDash, I'm so curious: why does this happen? Why does DoorDash consistently give me such laughably inaccurate estimates?
Tried to use them once. Never got my pizzas 😢. The driver told me that he left them outside on the porch. It was an apartment building 😂
Same. One time I put in an order, waited a long time, walked to the restaurant, waited in line, got my food and ate it before canceling.
Their drivers are imbeciles. Just as bad as Amazon delivery people.
Seriously, it's terrible. The driver just chose to ignore my order and wouldn't answer his phone as I watched him drive around the city. Never again.
Have you given Uber Eats a try? We get your food on time (: DM me for Eats referral code if you’d like!
No joke the UE driver left my food outside with no contact. It was awful.
At least you got your food! Plus we don’t steal tips.
Which area?
Use uber eats
Uber eats doesn't deliver from the allergy-friendly restaurants in my area. Only reason I've let DoorDash pull this nonsense on me so many times.
When I worked there 2 years ago, there weren’t that many orders so I’d have postmates on at the same time, so I could make money on both. When the DoorDash app would ring I’d be in the middle of a Postmates delivery, so it would take me longer to fill the order thus explaining the cold food. An easy way to solve this for DoorDash would be having a guaranteed minimum hourly wage which would make drivers too lazy to have both apps open at the same time. Another possible reason is at peak hours everyone orders and sometimes you pick up multiple orders from the same store and drop them off so if you’re the last in the queue it’ll probably be cold.
