What's up with people's obsession over TC?
So it's seems a lot of people on this Blind network are obsessed with TC aka Total Compensation. I read post and people just arbitrarily post their TC like it's some badge of honor or something. Maybe this is a FAANG company culture type of thing, but it is weird as hell.

Majority of people in FAANG are making over 250 with less than 4-5 YoE and feel the need to show how big their D’s really are to compensate for their lack of true happiness. TC: 290K~

Because most people are trying to get their maximum market worth? I don't get people that's aren't obsessed with TC. Obviously, there are many things to take into account with a job, such as work/life balance that you desire. But make sure you're getting paid your worth.
You miss my point. Someone on a thread asked about fashion advice....the first response is, "What's your TC" I see all over folks ask a random question and people want to know their TC. Even though TC is not related to anything they are talking about.
