I had an on-site interview with PayPal 4 weeks back. And still they haven't told me their decision and yeah they don't respond to my emails as well. I see people waited for 3-4 weeks for their decision in other posts. Is this a norm at PayPal? On top of that, they kept posting the same job in their portal again and againš (with same Job Id)š Location: Austin Role: Sr. Software engineer
Must be H1B job posting. These positions are for hiring H1bs or for filling GC for visa employees. Donāt waste time on them.
Yup. See them all the time with my current employer and past ones. Though the fact that op went through an on-site likely means the hiring Mgr picked someone else and the recruiter was just lazy to inform everyone else
For H1B (or GC) job posts, people usually do their best to rule out candidates at application or phone screen phase. They'd rather restart the perm process than to bring candidates onsite.
It's simple. If u are a clear winner or a clear loser then they let u know faster. When u have performed just okay, they don't wanna loose u and at same time looking for other candidates. This is the usual case, but then there could be approval issues sometimes ( but that's mostly during salary negotiations)
When I interviewed with PayPal, the recruiter had set up an initial call but somehow never calledš¤·āāļøš¤·āāļø I just didnāt care and moved on
This isn't the first time I've heard that candidates are being ghosted. We are in a dire need to improve our overall candidate experience. š¤¦š½āāļø I've heard employees positing about referred candidates never hearing anything from our side/system. Where as for companies like FB, Twilio and I'm sure many others, there's literally an SLA for a response from a recruiting team if someone is being referred. šš»
Anyone from PayPal who says there are other reasons and have theories for defense, is in all humility, a big BS. Candidates should be provided with communication if there are delays for any reason. Period.
Most likely it's a cultural issue or maybe the hiring managers want more from the candidate. In any case any SLA should be what something is required for definite. But one another bad thing is VP exceptions for everything š¤¦āāļø
Name of the recruiter and hiring manager youāre working with? I can vouch my experience was world class being onboarded.
Not the best idea to name specific people on Blind. OP please don't. And onboarding is a different story. We are still talking about the recruitment process here.
Sorry for not being specific enough. My whole interview process and on boarding could not have gone smoother. Iām sure itās a case by case basis at the end of the day as with any other company. I see your point but I think itās unfortunate weād rather call out the entire company as opposed to the individual(s) creating the issue.
Paypal sends rejects through an automated email that usually lands into your spam folder. Check there. If not then bad luck.
Done that. No rejection emails foundš
Apply again to the position lol
