What do you do on the side that brings in consistent revenue. Even if it’s only $20/month. Do you collect cans, resell yard sale items on eBay, repair phones, build apps, software consultant, buy/sell (non employer) stocks, rental properties, etc. If you made an app or anything that is a huge topic, explain whether revenue is sales or ads. And generally what the app is if you don’t want to be specific because this is anonymous.

Scoop
Own a blog that is popular in its niche. Initially started out coz I was just passionate about the niche and hoped to recover its hosting fees from google ads. Realized soon that google and display ads don’t pay too well. Soon the blog started getting some traction and was approached by some brands for affiliate market. I was able to not only recover hosting fees but made some profit in its first year in 2016. My revenues are seasonal in nature and now I earn ~ 2.5 - 5.5k per month. My earnings from blog in FY2018 was 50k which is quite decent source of passive income. I have to give ~3-5 hours a week. Funny part is, no-one except my spouse knows about this side business.
May I ask how much work (time) you initially put in? How did you brainstorm on what topics to write about?
You say it’s niche. Without giving too much away unless you want to, what’s the general market for the blog?
Wat kinda blog is it

Run many businesses, work is mostly just accounting
What’s your portfolio? At least what types of businesses are you running? Are they self sufficient enough to not need 24/7 leadership since you’re doing multiple? I’m assuming maybe some of them are just yourself and they kind of run themselves. Like buying/selling.
I have managers that run the businesses and they take care of staff etc. I do accounting about once a month and have to hire new leaders occasionally. Nothing fancy or elaborate. Think along the lines of a car wash etc.
Stocks
Lol just filed my taxes and looks like I'm pretty consistently in the red on stocks for last 2 years 😂
