In the past, I've always waited until all the background check comes back.

H1-B work visa worker here (so maybe not relevant to all Blind users) -- usual plan is to give official notice once the 'H1-B visa has been transferred successfully'.

This is what most recruiters recommend. You don’t have a job until this happens.

If your confident your background is clean, I would do it at the offer stage. If not then wait for the background to be checked off.

I wouldn’t worry about the background check unless you have a criminal record or lied on your resume. For my most recent job, I accepted before the check. I also fudged dates a bit on my resume (like by 6 months or less). Nothing happened.

After visa transfer has happened and you have a joining date fixed.
