I really want to get another job (tired of working hard) , but stuck at FB because of lack of premium processing. As without that the approvals take forever. Any idea when it will resume? I heard it’s expected to be Feb 19 next year but not sure if it’ll actually resume then 😰 I have done both of my under-graduation and masters in CS, I am a software engineer. so is the chance of rejection pretty low if I move on receipt?
I don't think anyone can answer that here. Everyone can just speculate. There's no guarantee that it will resume even in Feb. They were supposed to resume premium processing for H1 lottery in September 2018 but ended up extending the suspension to Feb 2019 so who knows what they will do in Feb 19.
Hope for the best and hope that it happens around Feb 19th
There’s always going to be some H1 issues for the rest of your life.Just switch and take a risk.
What I would suggest and I am in same boat as u is start looking out now. By the time u will get an offer, it would be closer to Feb and when they file ur transfer request, most likely premium would have started. From what I have heard even regular processing isn't too bad right now and some ppl who applied for transfer in September (Vermont service center), got their approvals. So maybe it will work out for u. Joining on receipt is fine as long as u have good backup for worst case like moving to Canada for a year and coming back on L visa, so if u want to do that make sure u negotiate that in with ur new company
Do you know why it takes one year to get a L visa and come back?
there is always risk in life, you might die in a car accident some day, that sounds much worse than getting deported. will u quit driving? ^ that's how i convince myself to join google on receipt
Don’t allow fear to defeat you, bro. If you are good, you can beat it, whether remaining in the states or back in your original country. You may come back again after being deported (if that would be the case); and you may become a billionaire in your own country (and you would brag how smart you were to “force” them to deport you in the first place).
@Op you sound like an abject mess. In your post you say you’re tired of working hard. Then you snivel about your visa processing. You’re pathetic. If you’re so disappointed: you know what to do...
Lol, looks like someone is having a bad morning and taking out on strangers asking legitimate questions driven by anxiety under the shield of anonymity! Poor thing.
I’m having a great morning. I just detest entitlement minded parasites like Op. The valley is infested with these gimmedatz. 90% of individuals like Op contribute nothing they just buzz around companies like flies on a fresh turd taking up space and slowing everyone down. If Op doesn’t want to work hard the DMV is always hiring hardship cases and screw offs...
Also, every person has the option to choose how hard he wants to work. He has the freedom to make a call on his career. So who are you to pass all these judgmental boorish comments. Mind your own business. Go get a life instead .
@Saratoga thank you for proving my point. I also like that you used one of my words. If you think in business that people don’t have the right to judge your work ethic the only person you’re fooling is yourself.
Well all I basically posted was “I am too tired of working too hard , want a change “. How does that phrase mean I am entitled, my work ethics is bad, I am demanding h1b premium processing to resume etc. Lol didn’t know you are this bad at understanding English. I am done with you man.
Just transfer without approval. People have been doing it for years. If you're fed up you're fed up. You can't always have your cake and eat it too
You can move in receipt. Many companies are fine with doing that, of course there is minor risk of what if.
Minor risk?? I would consider it major as rejection would force me to move out of the country. Btw, I done both of my under-graduation and masters both in CS, so is the chance of rejection pretty low?
Yes, if you have computer science degree, you should be fine. You cannot depend on slackers at uscis, just move, if things go wrong you will find a way.
