When you work for a hospital and get sick

I find it so funny when you're watching the news and they say if you are sick or have flu like symptoms stay home πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ what a joke, yale hospital don't play that! We have this point system, that you you go over you are done! I mean we are more likely to get sick because we get exposed to so much! Everyone thinks you have this awesome job because you work at yale. Well I got news for you, yale dont really care about its employees....

My sister is a nurse practitioner and has always worked at large hospitals. She’s never had management with a background in the medical field. In fact, they regularly told her to do things that are illegal and would get her license revoked. Capitalism in healthcare is optimizing for: 1) Lowest quality, legally required care 2) Maximum expenditure by the patient (only treatment, equipment, procedures with the highest profit margins)

Dude, get some education on the subject, there is no free market in healthcare industry therefore it is not capitalism that ruins it.

Capitalism would import cheaper doctors. It's the unions and alike that keep the cost so high.

This is true for all hospitals, especially teaching hospitals. The coverage system for fellows and residents is terrible, so people try to avoid calling in sick at all costs.

That is terrible, I am so sorry!
