Where is the Seattle Snow

I thought I could have built an army of snowmen by now.

Was this weather event a scam cooked up by Big Grocery?

Also, to those people who bought all the bananas from the supermarket, what are you doing with them?

Edit: called it too early. Anyone in SLU down for a snowball fight?

Not sure why Seattle acts like a pùssy this time of the year. I used to live in the midwest a couple of years ago and have seen people not giving a fùck even at 8 inches. In Seattle, 2 inches of snow and everyone thinks it's doomsday.

    • In the Midwest they have salt and snow tires and plows.

WA has lots of plows, though they aren't usually deployed in Seattle. The Cascades get way more snow than the Midwest does.

Seattle’s snow woes boil down to:

      A) tons and tons of hills
      B) a billion tiny side streets where cars are parked on both sides of the road making most roads impassable for plow trucks.
      C) lack of plow trucks and related infrastructure (compared to states like Montana, Idaho, Colorado, etc.)
      D) a city where it rarely snows so most people keep performance tires on their cars.
      E) the fact that it actually rarely snows and sticks, so locals rarely have chances to become proficient in winter weather driving.

It mostly snows like 3 days a year. I'm not going to buy new tires, or try to get proficient at driving on ice in this bloody 1 lane hills that are never plowed. All to just get bragging rights for 3 days.

The entire city of seattle has 25 snow plows.

Look man, move back to the midwest where apparently it is so awesome, because you get to spend 7 months in the winter so you’re really good at stocking up on salt, trucks, and tons of snow clothes and boots and your ability to prepare for snow regardless of whether it happens 90 days a year vs 1 day a year is the measure of being a p*ssy.

More than snow it’s ice that’s going to be a problem here for the next week because of low temps and that a lot of people like on hilly roads. People were stuck for 2 hours in the hilly areas of east side this evening, trying to get home .

Monday early morning when going to SeaTac the number of pickup trucks either immobilized or stuck in the roadside on the I-90/I-405 on ramp was oddly satisfying

Fresh snow is easy to drive in. Snow plus rain plus a freezing night, is where shit gets tricky.
