Which Xbox to buy?
I want to buy an Xbox for my boyfriend for Christmas. He currently has a Playstation 4. While looking online I notice there are 2 versions Xbox One S and Xbox One X. Which one would be a better buy for the long run?

Depends on the types of games he wants to play. If he has a 4K TV, the Xbox X supports that high of a resolution. Of course, it requires a 4K game as well which most new games are.
Buy him an Xbox one x
The X, especially if you have a 4K TV. Even without a 4K TV it will run much faster. Lots of deals for it right now at 399 with a couple of games. The S is a good deal now too if you're not sure whether or not he'll play XBox games vs the PS4.
The Xbox one S is the standard entry model, but will stream Netflix in 4K. The Xbox one X is the more hardcore model with more power, native 4K gaming support etc. If he is into gaming, graphics, and has a 4K tv and you don’t mind the price difference, I’d say the X. If he is a casual gamer and doesn’t care about 4K you could probably get away with the S. The X probably comes with a bigger hard drive as well I don’t remember. Hope that helps😄

I looked up Switch and liked the concept that we can use it as a handheld and home console. How does the games and graphics compare against Xbox and PS?
The games are the best available, with games like Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart, Mario Party, Smash Bros, etc. Lots of stuff to play together as a family, and plenty to keep the kids entertained. Great for trips and traveling as well. Graphics are plenty good enough but not as good as the top of the line versions of Xbox/PS.
Build him a gamin pc. My config : Nvidia gtx 1080 ti, 32 gb ram, 600 w power supply and intel core i7 8700 k over clocked at 4.2 ghz. It’s a monster and much better gaming experience than a console tbh. I also have PS4.
When you say build you mean "build" or I can go and buy the complete package from a store like Best Buy?

No offense, but isn't it much more comfortable playing using a controller created for the purpose of gaming rather than using Keyboard and Mouse. This is just my belief, I am not a gamer.
If you want to use controller then you can, Xbox controllers are compatible with pc. I think ps4 is also compatible. Different games use different controls though, some games are better on controller and others on keyboard.
