I haven’t done shit today!
Based on high pay, plenty of employment opportunities, good infrastructure, good quality of life etc. I have tried to list all of current hotspots that I could think of. Vote for all those you think will be still as hot or hotter 20 years later. EDIT: Totally forgot about Canada. So if you think a Canadian city would be hot, vote other & mention the city in a comment.
Chances are great that the Bay Area will be shattered by massive earthquakes in 20 years
Ya, I might have to repaint or something. Just like after the 89 earthquake that shattered the Bay Area.
Fingers crossed for Toronto
Berlin
L.A.
Some Indian or Chinese city..
Heard Austin and Hyderabad get pretty hot during summers.
And?
I heard Austin has air conditioning in all the buildings and homes.
Bangalore wont make it if it’s traffic mess is not resolved
Have you seen bay area traffic?
Yes. It's a lot worse and difficult to drive in Bangalore. It's not just about traffic, it's about the roads, rules etc
None of the Indian cities based on infrastructure, none of the Chinese cities based on immigration, London is going to be out of the picture with Brexit, Dublin and Amsterdam are questionable (IMHO only some German cities, some cities in the Nordics, or Prague could potentially become tech hubs), Chicago is a pretty dubious pick. I'd say NYC or Seattle, since the Bay seems like it's getting closer to imploding with all the bullshit politics.
Why the hate for Chicago (voting)? I’ve never lived there but love visiting there. I know it’s cold AF in the winter.
Dubious pick for being a tech hub, sorry. It's a fine city, but it's doubtful that the next big things are going to come from there. Even Boston, which has MIT and a reputation for "hard" tech isn't on this poll, for example. Chicago stands no chance there, tech wise.
You forgot Wichita.
Damn I knew I was forgetting a totally obvious candidate
The silicon prairie.
