I heard Netflix and FB. I also heard negative opinions about Amazon because they often place people on PIP programs. What about other companies, if you aren't a high performer? Can you just swim along? Microsoft seems to be a good option if you don't want to invest too much time at work and just ride with the tide.
Intuit for sure. Even the good performers
In IBM sales, you’re fired if you don’t make 50% of your sales quota for a year. Doesn’t matter whether or not your accounts buy only every 2 or 3 years. There’s also no line of sight commission payment on sales at large accounts; there’s a pool of funds, and managers decide how much to give. Very political. A lot of wasted energy.
Doesn't Google have up or out for L3 -> L4
What’s the time limit?
Uber: Up or out until you’re L5.
By L5 u mean 5a right? Are there time limits for promotions like at fb?
Mbb consulting, banks.
Probably not NFLX since they don’t have levels for IC
Um yeah Netflix is definitely not up or out.
Microsoft PIPs on day one
Uber. If you were hired after 2014, there’s still an IC path ahead of you, and you haven’t promoted in the trailing 24-30 months...something is wrong with you
