A relative wants to move to Pleasanton and she’s likely going to favor companies that are local, that are accessible via BART, or that run company shuttles from the area. Apple, Facebook and Google obviously run shuttles from the fairgrounds or the 680/Stoneridge park-n-ride. I heard Genentech perhaps has one?
Look up Ace Train. Bart is a good option. Use Scoop for sharing ride to work. Worse case scenario, leave home between 7 and 7:30 am so you can reach Mountain view by 9 am.
Even 9 am sounds a bit optimistic. 😕
Oath runs a shuttle to Pleasanton
ACE is good, but God help you if your company is on the VTA shuttle route and doesn’t have a private shuttle from Great America. The mass of people literally running off of the train and jumping the guardrails to get onto the shuttles is about the stupidest thing I ever saw 🙄
I’ve taken ACE a few times. It’s comfortable but I think she wants to minimize the interconnections. She’d prefer car-shuttle rather than car-train-shuttle or car-train-public_bus.
