Seems there is a split. All the companies that don’t do open plan office tend to pay a little lower...
What do u dislike about open office plans?
Everything
Like what? U can listen to other people’s convos and stuff
My workplace provides individual room to each developer. If you want, then they pair you up with someone else. Can't have more than 2 per room. But as you said, we don't get paid as much as Google or Facebook.
That’s neat
Also. getting paid "as much as Google or Facebook" is relative right. It depends on the work location, cost of living there, and how much they pay there right.. I only get 190k but that's enough for this location. Because I live in the outskirts (25 mins drive from office), I rent a 1800 sq ft house for $1000. If we want, We can buy an awesome 3000 sq ft house for <400k, no traffic on the way to office etc..
In Adobe San Jose office, half people have their own offices. For new join, the TC is competitive.
Adobe tc is not competitive with goog and fb
it's really case by case
For all these companies that want to offer nice benefits and pay why don’t they offer offices? Open plan is a false economy.
