Company A: Commute: 25-35 minutes by train with one change Salary: 55-65k Vacation: 28 days Pros: - IT security/data encryption company. There aren't that many in my town - quite chill and genuinely nice people. You got the feeling they are really that nice and supportive and not only professional nice - they are currently taking massive action to modernize the IT Cons: - equipment could be improved (we only have the choice between Dell and Mac Laptop) Summary: I got unique experience (IT security, state of the art tech stack) that I probably can't get elsewhere with chill people. But they pay could be better. Company A: Commute: 6 minutes by foot Salary: 80k Vacation: 30 days Pros: - I can see the company from my apartment - big company that can offer more and better benefits, e.g. iPhone Cons: - old IT infrastructure - they are older folks (people starting from 40 onwards) Summary: Better salary with old people (could be bad/could be good thing) and old infrastructure
