I know what my bedtime prayer is going to be tonight.
I used to shit on Fidelity because they use Symantec VIP access instead of 2FA until I read that some guy got his bitcoin stolen because someone copied his sim card and 2FA via text is not as secure. Now Im happy, even tho it’s a bit of a pain in the ass.
I hope it's us. We have tech related to social media security under Digital Risk division and spam and cloud security under O365 and Email Security Products area. Not sure if Proofpoint board will accept anything under 8B as the company starts at around 5B in market cap today.
Hahaha.. proofpoint has very old tech stack
I won't be so quick in reaching that conclusion. The company is transforming.
A door manufacturer for data centers
Okta or Fireye?
Okta is related to single sign on identity management security. Proofpoint is related to spam detection and digital media account security. Not too sure which way facebook will move for security applications of fb product.
If a company is looking for a security product, why would you trust a company that can’t manage its own data? In other words, the security company that is bought by FB will become less credible after the acquisition.
All employees get to cash out and there are a few hundred millionaires minted. In the end of the day, the reputation will be on FB's side to maintain after acquisition.
Is Proofpoint really worth that much? I wouldn’t have thought so.
