- Just get a minivan. It’s the car you need and the one you don’t realize you want. Storage, power, entertainment, etc. it’s godlike for family travel.
Only morons think cars are a reflection of themselves. Make a spreadsheet and test drive a van. It wins every column.
- For small budget SUVs, either the Mazda CX-3 or CX-5 with the SkyActiv engine. Fun to drive and reliable and not a toaster like a Honda or Toyota.
Alternatives: No minivan. Choose a Honda Pilot instead - it has the 3rd row seating but doesn’t look like a minivan and is very reliable. Good resale value. The newer models drive more like a SUV-truck than a car-SUV, if you know what I mean.
Higher-end, CPO Porsche Macan or Cayenne. If you don’t want German, CPO Lexus RX or NX.
- Dolby / EngViAtYou guys (GAANDFADU crowd) should go with Volvo XC90.... leave those crv and rav 4s for people like us (read tier 3 company people)
