Not talking about fintech (like stripe etc), but rather financial firms (hedge funds/prop trading). Other than the ones below:
- Jane street
- two sigma
- hudson river trading

Jump Trading, Tower Research, Five Rings, Akuna,Process Driven Trading,DRW, Optiver, Citadel.

Honorable mentions/Not Enough Information Available - SIG, AQR, Vatic Labs, Valkyrie Trading, Stevens Capital Management, IMC, Virtu Financial.

I would mention Renaissance but it’s their Math that makes them king rather than their engineering.

Not a bad list. Some firms you mentioned actually treat devs really badly, but im not gonna name names

Why is Citadel on this list? Most teams don’t have any standards. They just do it in someway to get things done.

Their interviews are pretty hard and there’s very talented folks there who work there as devs.

Also @350 I see you work at Citadel, I am interested in quant finance/HFT as well, may I DM you with a few questions?

That’s also the case in many finance firms. PMs and other business ppl give orders and only care abt getting things done quickly without any understanding of tech. As a result the devs also put in hacks and features just to get things done

Also remember that high pay != high talent. But high talent usually comes with relatively high pay
